Precarious Structures is a series of sculptures inspired by the emerging social class the precariat. This new social structure is characterized by a constant state of uncertainty and change, something that is reflected in the materials chosen for these objects.
Exhibited at London Design Fair in 2019, as a part of the group exhibition “Crossovers” curated by Pil Bredahl for Adorno gallery.
The pieces are made from bent copper tubing, dowel rods, cotton string and discarded plastic strips. In time the copper will change its hue, reflecting the constantly changing state of those living as a part of the precariat.
